International Coaching Week

It’s hard to believe that a year has passed since we took part in our first International Coaching week! Once again we’re going to celebrate the power of coaching, and encourage individuals and organizations to understand, explore, test and discover the possibilities coaching provides. As regular readers of our newsletters know, Anlo loves the idea of coaching, and as if to reinforce this commitment, Annja has used the past year to add a Coaching Supervision accreditation to her toolbox!

So, between the 17th and 23rd of May 2023, Annja will open her calendar and offer free coaching sessions to new businesses, start-ups, and small business owners who want to explore coaching and discover how coaching can help them unlock their potential and find ways to move forwards.

How will it work?

Each session will be 45 min long and will be based on coaching methodology and understanding where you are now, and where you want to be. This session is not a mentor or training session.

You need to come into the session open to the ideas of coaching and working through the process. After the free session you are welcome to book additional advisory time but that will be at an additional cost.

We only ask that the people that make appointments with us during this week are businesspeople looking to learn more about themselves, improve their life and achieve their goals.

To help you with this, we’ll ask you to complete a short questionnaire when selecting a time, and once we have approved your request we will send you the Zoom link for your free session.

You can register your interest here by answering a few simple questions. Once confirmed, you will receive more information about the session as well as reminders.

In the meantime, we have some amazing blogs on our website about books that have inspired us. The Psychology of Money and Time to Think are both well worth your time!

What is coaching?

Coaching is a relationship that a coach develops with a client for the benefit of the client. The main aim is to develop the client’s own ability and potential in achieving their goals. The coach does this by encouraging the client to look at their beliefs and habits and guiding them towards developing new strategies to deal with obstructions between the client and their goals. Coaching is used to explore opportunities, set goals and develop a way forward. The aim is to look forward, encouraging the client to learn and move from their comfort zone into a growing phase where they can learn and change.

In coaching the coach never tells the client what to do but asks ‘forward thinking’ questions and provides guidance in the process of self-exploration. It is important to help provoke insights rather than to give directions. The coach keeps the client accountable for the learning and strategies that they put in motion to achieve their goals.

The coach will aim to develop a trusted relationship with the client and will strive for clear and effective communication to ensure that the client can master their goals. In pursuit of this it is important that the coach always gives their undivided attention to ensure that the coaching partnership is successful. Coaching is a process, with a distinct beginning, middle and end. During the coaching week, we will focus on the beginning session where we walk through the assessment wheel.

What Our Client’s Are Saying:

Who can benefit from coaching?

The personal benefits of coaching are as wide-ranging as the individuals involved. Numerous clients report that coaching positively impacted their careers as well as their lives by helping them to:

  • Establish and act towards achieving goals.

  • Become more self-reliant.

  • Gain more job and life satisfaction.

  • Contribute more effectively to the team and the organization.

  • Take greater responsibility and accountability for actions and commitments.

  • Work more easily and productively with others (boss, direct reports, peers)

  • Communicate more effectively – especially about feelings and thought process.
